SIZE: 700 sqft house with 450 sqft terrace

The tiny house is a two-bedroom, 700 sf, wood house on an 1150 sf raised concrete platform located in a flood zone in Jeffersonville NY. The house is located near a creek that floods. Although the code requires new construction to be only 5’ above ground, the house is raised high enough to accommodate parking of cars and boats below.

The house is clad in wood that changes directions as to the composition of the doors and windows. The terrace that is covered by an extended cantilevered roof, is an extension of the living room space that opens up through several glass sliding doors.
